Cheryl Peace

Cheryl Peace was appointed as a full-time member of the California Integrated Waste Management Board by the Senate Rules Committee on January 8, 2003, as one of four public representatives. Her term on the Board extends until January 1, 2007.

Ms. Peace has experience in commercial property management and in the financial sector. These include positions as a loan officer with the Bank of America, a cost analyst in the finance department of Rohr Industries—a prominent aerospace parts manufacturer (now B.F. Goodrich)—and bookkeeper with several small business ventures.

She graduated with honors and a degree in business administration from San Diego State University, with an emphasis on marketing. Ms. Peace has been active in classroom, library, and PTA efforts while raising a family. She has acted as treasurer for several amateur sports clubs and organizations, property manager for family-owned commercial property, and general contractor on the construction of a single-family home.

Mrs. Peace has been married to her husband Steve for 32 years and has three grown sons.
