Nicole Bernson serves as Senior Policy Advisor to Los Angeles City Councilman, Greig Smith. She is a contributing author to the Councilman’s R.E.N.E.W. LA plan, and staffs the Councilman on its Ad Hoc Committee. Nicole oversees environmental issues for the Twelfth Council District, including waste reduction, resource recovery, renewable energy, and air and water quality. She also monitors State and Federal legislation, regulation policy and staffs the Councilman on the Council’s Budget and Finance Committee. She accompanied the Councilman on a European tour of conversion facilities and has traveled locally and throughout the country to tour research and test facilities.
