Frank Shih
Frank has a BSME from UC Irvine, and both MSMsE and MSME from UCLA. His PhD research focuses on utilizing laser-based ultrasound (LBU) for nondestructive evaluation in carbon fiber reinforced composites. To this end, he is currently splitting his time between UCLA and Rockwell Science Center at Thousand Oaks, California.
- Thesis: Nondestructive Evaluation of Elastic Property Degradation in Titanium Matrix Composites during Fatigue, 1995.
Yesim Korkmaz
Yesim receive her BS in aeronautical engineering at Istanbul Technical University in Turkey, and MS in aerospace engineering here at UCLA. Her PhD research focuses on applying Volume Integral Equation Methods (VIEM) to ultrasonic scattering calculations in titanium alloys.
Keith M. Waitz
Keith received his BSME from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1993. He is currently working on the project, "A Biomechanical Study of Lower Extremity Fractures in Motorcycle Crashes," which will be the subject of his MSME Thesis
