Abhishek Mishra
About: Abhishek received his B.Tech and M.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. He did his Ph.D. research under the supervision of Prof. Alexander Borst, at Max Planck Institute for Biological Intelligence, Germany. During his Ph.D., he studied neural mechanisms underlying motion vision in Drosophila. At UCLA his postdoctoral research includes applying machine learning techniques to increase the performance of brain-machine-interface (BMI) systems and design augmentative artificial intelligence for BMIs. Outside of research, he enjoys playing chess, cricket, and football. He also has a youtube channel where he teaches mathematics and python programming.
