Jason C.S. Woo received the B.A.Sc. (Hons.) degree in engineering science from the University of Toronto, Canada, in 1981, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University in 1982 and 1987, respectively. He joined the UCLA Electrical Engineering Department in 1987 and is currently a professor.

Prof. Woo served on the IEEE IEDM program committee from 1989-1990 and 1994-1996, and was the publicity vice-chairman in 1992 and the publicity chairman in 1993. He is the workshop chairman and has been a technical committee member of the VLSI Technology Symposium since 1992. Since 1993, he has been on the IEEE SOI conference committee and was the technical program chairman for the conference in 1999. He has also been appointed recently to serve as the chair of IEEE Electronic Device Society ad hoc committee on short courses. He has authored or coauthored over 100 papers in technical journals and refereed conference proceedings in these areas. Prof. Woo is also Director of the CMOS Research Laboratory.

Yoon Jung (Esther) Chang received her B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and in Materials Science and Engineering from Sungkyunkwan University, Korea, in 2008. During her undergraduate years, she was very much interested in semiconductor materials and devices, and thus, decided to pursue further study following her long-term goal at University of California at Los Angeles. Her research is focused on asymmetric MOSFET structures, which includes novel tunneling transistors to consider the challenges in scaling down the devices.

Bo-Chao Huang is currently a Ph.D. student in the Electrical Engineering department at UCLA. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Physics and Electronics Engineering from National Taiwan University, Taiwan, in 2004 and 2006, respectively. His research focused on thin film passivation of Organic Light-Emitting Devices and carrier mobility measurement of organic materials. After he received his M.S degree, he served one year of mandatory military service as an aviation radar maintainer for the Taiwan Air Force. In September 2008, he joined the UCLA CMOS research Lab, where he is now working on using graphene as channel material to fabricate MOSFET.

Ming Zhang received his B.S. degree in the Academic Talent Program (ATP) and M.S. degree in Microelectronics from Tsinghua University, China, in 2007 and 2009, respectively. Since fall 2009, he joined Prof. Jason Woo's group in UCLA CMOS research laboratory toward his Ph.D. degree. During his B.S and M.S. study, his research in CAD group focused on the simulation of MOSFET and graphene devices using NEGF method, as well as the fermi-level pinning of the metal-semiconductor contact. He is currently looking for the topics that attract him.

Po-Yen Chien was born in 1983 in Taipei, Taiwan. He received his B.S. degree in electrical engineering and M.S. degree in engineering and system science from National Central University and National Tsing-Hua University in 2005 and 2007, respectively. During this time, his research focused on mixed-signal integrated circuit design and HK/MG integration of MOS devices. In September 2009, he joined the UCLA CMOS research lab to pursue his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering.
